 
Brief Introduction:
I. Basic Information of the Liuhua Complex
and the Liuhua Complex of Chinese Export Commodities Fair
On March 15, 2004, China Foreign Trade Center (CFTC) singed
a memorandum with Guangzhou Municipal Government and became
the official operator of Guangzhou International Convention
& Exhibition Center. Presently, CFTC is running the two
largest Complexes in Guangzhou – the Pazhou Complex (namely
the Guangzhou International Convention Exhibition Center)
and Liuhua Complex of Chinese Export Commodities Fair. The
total indoor exhibition area of the two Complexes is up to
250,000 square meters.
The first stage project of Liuhua Complex covers a ground
area of 414,000 square meters with the structural area of
395,000 square meters. With 13 exhibition halls on the first
and second floors, Pazhou Complex has an indoor exhibition
area of 130,000 square meters and an outdoor exhibition area
of 22,000 square meters, being the largest exhibition center
in Asia. The Complex has been in operation since the end of
2002.
Chinese Export Commodities Fair Liuhua Complex has an indoor
exhibition area of 120,000 square meters. It is universally
renowned for holding the spring and autumn Chinese Export
Commodities Fairs each year.
The price systems for site leasing adopted by the two exhibition
complexes are different from each other. Liuhua Complex charges
domestic and foreign exhibitors differently, while Pazhou
Complex adopts a pricing policy that charges domestic and
foreign exhibitors equally. By doing so, it provide national
treatment for foreign exhibitors. Liuhua Complex has taken
the lead to do so among the famous exhibition complexes in
China. Based on the basic prices, rebates are given to exhibiters
according to the scales and natures of the exhibitions, as
well as according to whether the exhibiting place is good
or so-so and the exhibition is in a busy or low season.
In the 95th Fair in Apr. 2004, Pazhou Complex was put into
full use for the Chinese Export Commodities Fair. The Guangzhou
Chinese Export Commodities Fair is now both held in Liuhua
Complex and Pazhou Complex in two terms. In this year, besides
the Canton Fair, Pazhou Complex has held or will hold the
following large-scale exhibitions, which requires a exhibition
area of 50,000 – 130,000 square meters: the International
Furniture Fair, Building & Decoration Fair, Lighting Exhibition
and International Automobile Fair, etc., as well as large-scale
exhibitions such as the Guangzhou International Garment Festival,
National Knitwear and Cotton Fabrics Exhibition, South China
International Machines and Materials Exhibitions, Guangzhou
Fair, Printing and Packing Exhibition, Guangzhou International
Shoes and Leather Industry Exhibition, Asian-Pacific International
Rubber and Plastic Industry Exhibition, International Coating
Materials, Printing Inks and Adhesives Exhibition, Hotel Facilities
and Articles Expo, Mechanical Equipment Manufacturing Industry
Expo, Overseas Chinese Scholar Conference and Paper and Printing
Industry Exhibition, etc.
In this year, the major large-scale exhibitions that the Liuhua
Complex has held or will hold are: the Beauty and Hairdressing
Exhibition, Sports Products Expo, Motorcycles Exhibition,
Guangdong International Garment Expo, National General Merchandise
Exhibition, Stationers Goods Exhibition, National Baking Materials
and Supplementary and Equipment Exhibition, etc.

1. Industrial Advantages, Consumer Market and Market Radiation
Guangdong is the top one major economic province of China.
Its sectors of electronic information, electric appliances
and machines, petrochemicals, forest industry paper-making,
pharmaceuticals, automobile, textile and garment, food and
beverage, constructional material, furniture, travel, printing,
toy, materials circulation, animal faming, gift, bicycle,

China Foreign Trade Center is now running the two super large
exhibition complexes in Guangzhou. This is unique in the whole

1). Pazhou Complex

e) Convenient traffic. A subway station is built here. There
are city trunk roads on its east, west, south and north sides.
The opened No.2 Subway and the future No. 4 Subway will join
here. And the No. 3 Subway will transit around here. At present,
there are bus stops for buses No. 137, No. 203, No. 206 Swift
Line, No. 229 and No. 262, etc.
