IPR Reporting and Complaint Service Center of Tibet Autonomous Region (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was officially established in the Department of Commerce of Tibet Autonomous Region on August 28. Meanwhile, the reporting hotline "12312" was opened.
Due to the late start of IPR work and the weak IPR awareness in Tibet, many intangible assets cannot be protected effectively and the number of various IPR infringement cases increases year-by-year, which block the improvement of Sci-tech innovation capability and market competitiveness.
The establishment of the Center will widen the reporting channel for obligees and play a positive role in perfecting the working mechanism of IPR in Tibet.
It is learnt that the People's Government of Tibet Autonomous Region released the Interim Measures on Funds and Rewards for Patent Applications, as of the end of March, 2006, the amounts of patent application and patent authorization have reached 394 pieces and 189 pieces respectively.
