On May 9, Premier Wen Jiabao issued No.497 order, announcing the decision of revising the Registration Measures for Partnership Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the Measures)

The revised Measures add an IPR clause, prescribing that the partners shall make capital contributions in kind, intellectual property rights, land use rights, or other non-currency properties that may be assessed on the basis of currency and may be transferred according to law.

The revised Measures will come into force as of June 1, 2007. [Chinese version is available on SIPO.gov.cn]
