US companies expand operations in China

Today, ArvinMeritor. Inc. announced that they will invest 16 million U.S. dollars in Nanjing, Jiangsu province to build a new technology center expand the scale of their operations in China.
ArvinMeritor Inc. will build new factories with a total area of 32,000 square meters in order to enhance the company's ability to provide professional technology support, advanced product solutions and localization of production capacity.
The company will invest about 8 million dollars to build a new technology center for China's commercial and industrial vehicle power transmission sequence products research and development. They are planning to recruit the best technicians into the Nanjing Technology Center and integrate them into a global technology network.
The global technology network contains several advanced technology research and development laboratories in places such as Troy, Michigan U.S.A., Cameri in Italy, Cwmbran in Britain and Bangalore in India.
