The transaction volume of Beijing's residential forward delivery housing dramatically declined by 45.76 percent in January while second-hand housing dropped by almost 70 percent compared with the previous month, according to the realty brokerage firms and bjfdc.gov.cn, a website owned by the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Commission of Beijing.
Regarding this news, 5i5j and other brokerage firms expressed that "wait-and-see" dominated the reasons for the dramatic drop in volume. They believe that the results after Chinese New Year would decide the trend of housing prices in 2010.

If excluding affordable housing and limit-priced housing, 6,513 forward delivery residential houses were sold, falling 66 percent in comparison with December,2009. The online signing volume of second-hand houses jumped down to 12726 units, down 67.59 percent compared with the previous month.
