According to Austrian News Agency, Austrian enterprises made important contributions to Beijing Green Olympics in such aspects as solar equipment, air filtration device and sewage recycling utilization.

Martin Sajdik, Austrian Ambassador to China, claimed that Austrian enterprises are in the leading position in friendly-environmental technology and praised the achievements made by Austrian enterprises in China.

WABAG, Vienna water cleaning enterprise, participated in two Green Olympics¡¯ projects. The company installed one set of equipment of reclamation and utilization of sewage in north Beijing, through which recycled water that is produced is used to irrigate the Olympic park.

The equipment can deal with 6 tons of sewage daily with the largest production capacity among equipment of the same type worldwide. Moreover, in Daxing, sludge treatment project of a sewage treatment plant is being constructed.

In 4 25-meter-high storage devices, marsh gas which can be used as power of sewage treatment equipment can be acquired from the digested sewage sludge. The equipment can treat 600,000 tons of sewage daily, accounting for 1/4 of Beijing total daily-produced sewage.
