Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone was approved as state-level deveopment zone in February 2000. The zone has a developed area of 4.9 square kilometers. Geographical Location Xi'an Economic & Technological Development Zone (XETDZ) spans both sides of Weiyang Road --- the city's axis outside the North Gate of Xi'an. Xi'an is an ancient cultural city with a history of more than 3,000 years. It is well-known together with other three famous cities in the world, namely Athens, Rome and Cairo as ancient capitals. The terra-cotta warriors and horses of Shihuang of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), known as the eighth wonder of the world, are on display here.
