Based on the initial statistics, among the 1141 surveyed foreign-invested enterprises in Chengdu, 922 ones have resumed business, accounting for 80.81% and 67.9% of foreign-invested enterprises (1358) annually checked in 2007.

Among them, in Chengdu Hi-tech zone, there are 157 foreign-invested enterprises recovering operation among the 159 surveyed ones, which make up 98.74%, and 57 foreign-invested enterprises have resumed business among 60 surveyed ones in Chengdu economical development zone, accounting for 95%.

Of 128 Fortune 500 enterprises, 109 ones have resumed business, accounting for 85%.
The investigation revealed that in spite of the strong earthquake, large companies such as Software, Intel and Symantec were all confident of Chengdu and won¡¯t change their investment plans in Chengdu.
