The latest information provided by Ningbo municipal government shows that presently the enterprises of Hong Kong in Ningbo amounted to more than 4,700, with actual utilization of foreign investment over USD7b, more than 40% of the total utilization of foreign capital in the city, which means that Hong Kong has become the largest source of foreign investment in Ningbo.

While Hong Kong investment entered into Ningbo, the local enterprises of Ningbo were also actively investing in Hong Kong. There were 19 enterprises or institutions of Ningbo invested in Hong Kong in 2007.

During Ningbo-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Forum in 2007, the two sides signed 50 cooperation projects, with total investment of RMB1.8b and committed amount of foreign investment of USD720m.
