On April 4, Metro Bank Holding Ltd. Chongqing Representative Office officially opened. It was known that this is the first American bank in Chongqing and also the first organization of Metro Bank set up in West China succeeding to Xiamen Representative Office.

Until now, Chongqing has seven foreign-invested financial institutions. This number ranks the second in West China.
