According to the recent report of VOA, the international renowned economist Angrus Madison forecasted in his monograph Chinese Economic Long Run Performance that China would surpass the U.S. in 2015, becoming the largest economy in the world. Madison forecasted that the average annual growth rate of China’s economy would be 5.6% in around 2010; from 2020 to the next decade, the average annual growth rate of China’s economy would be around 4.6%; after 2030, the average annual economic growth would be around 3.6 %. By 2030, China’s per capita income was expected to be nearly USD16,000, while that of the United States would be close to USD46,000. |
