According to Chile Financial Daily on August 12, in July, Chile imported 23,037 automotives, up by 14.2% from the same period of last year, with total value of USD260m, up by 30.8% year-on-year.

In the first 7 months of this year, Chile accumulatively imported 168,000 cars, up by 30.9% from the same period of last year, with import amount of USD1.87b, up by 42.1% year-on-year.

Sales of Chinese cars continuously increase in Chile market, and in the first 7 months of this year, Chile imported cars from China increased by 438.9% with a total of 9,895 cars, accounting for 5.9% of Chile market shares.
