MOFCOM¡¯s 2nd Session of Online Biz-matching Fair for Summer Agricultural Produce, lasting for one month, drew down the curtain on July 10. The trading amount of the agricultural produce, which promoted by the Fair, hit 1187.5 thousand tons, with RMB 3.429 billion yuan. Among which the actual turnover hit RMB 1.407 billion yuan. The biz-matching information covered 31 provinces (autonomous regions/municipalities), 527 counties and 15,521 villages. 286 kinds of agricultural produce were engaged in and the mainly traded produce were agarics, onion, watermelon slaughter pigs, etc.

With serving for the quake-hit areas as the working key point, the Fair set up a special online biz-matching column for assisting the restoration of the quake-hit areas. By July 10, RMB 372 million yuan of sales and purchasing intention was reached in total by the peasant of Sichuan quake-hit areas through the Fair, with such main produce as agarics, garlic, lettuce and plum, etc.

By far, MOFOCM has totally held 7 online biz-matching fairs, which promoted the turnover of agricultural produce at 6.63 million tons, with RMB 14.6 billion turnover.
