China Foreign Trade Center and China (Brazil) Investment Development & Trade Center co-organized a forum held on Wednesday to promote the investment environment of Brazil's Santa Catarina state.

The event, sought to highlight the advantages of the Brazilian state, especially in the areas of industry, import and export trade and infrastructure.

The state has a huge industrial area where 31,000 enterprises are located.

China's exports to the state amounted to $460 million in 2006 and reached $520 million in the first nine months of this year.
